Content Certified Mail

Content Certified Mail

A Certified Mail provides the sender with a mailing receipt and electronic verification that an article was delivered or that a delivery attempt was made. In Japan, it is a content certified mail that has legal effect. Content certified mail can be used in the following situations: contract cancellation, collection of debt, compensation of damage, debt transfer or exemption, etc.

By sending out content certified mail or so-called Naiyo Shomei in Japanese, the Japanese postal office will keep a record of Content and date you sent. The recipient cannot claim that they have not received any notification. Content certified mails must be prepared in Japanese and a certain format is required. For example, everyone can only contain 20 letters or characters and one page can only have 26 lines. The sender must prepare 3 copies of letters. One for the sender, one for the recipient, and one for postal office.
